rxpad
The Xbox Wireless Adapter, from userspace.
rxpad drives the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows from userspace, in place of the xone kernel driver. It talks to the adapter over usbfs and creates each controller through uhid, so there is nothing to build for every kernel update and nothing to sign for Secure Boot.
It started as a port of xone and ships with CouchPotatOS, but it runs on any Linux system.

What it does
No kernel module
Nothing to rebuild when the kernel updates, and nothing to sign or enroll for Secure Boot.
Steam sees a wireless controller
Each controller appears as an Xbox Wireless Controller, so Steam uses its own controller driver for it.
Sleep and wake
Controllers power off cleanly before sleep and shutdown. The Xbox button wakes the PC, and the controller is back about four seconds later.
Recovers by itself
After a crash or a restart, stale controllers are replaced and reconnect in seconds without re-pairing.
