Your PC. Your TV. Your Console.
CouchPotatOS is an immutable Linux system for the PC under your TV. It starts straight into Steam's gamepad interface, and everything after that, from setup to updates to a factory reset, works from the couch with a controller.
It is built on openSUSE Kalpa and Tumbleweed, packaged in the open on the openSUSE Build Service.

What it does
Straight into Steam
A quiet boot animation, then Steam in gamepad mode. No desktop, no login screen, no keyboard needed.
Set up with a controller
The installer picks the drive, Wi-Fi, language, time zone and keyboard layout, all with a gamepad.
Updates as a whole image
Signed system images, installed when you press update in Steam. Choose a tested stable channel or follow Tumbleweed on beta. Your settings carry over.
Read-only system
The base system cannot be changed underneath you, while the Steam client still updates itself as usual.
Graphics sorted on first boot
AMD and Intel Arc work out of the box. On NVIDIA cards you choose NVIDIA's driver or the open nouveau and NVK stack.
Xbox controllers, wake included
The Xbox Wireless Adapter runs on rxpad, and the Xbox button wakes the PC from sleep.
Factory reset from Steam
Steam's own Factory Reset button wipes your data and keeps the system, no USB stick required.
