One installer for every PC. It's small: it fetches the latest signed system while it installs, so you always get the newest version.

In development. CouchPotatOS is young. Installing erases the drive you choose, so back up anything you want to keep.

Then, three steps

  1. Write it to a USB stick

    Use Rufus in DD Image mode, balenaEtcher, or dd. The stick is erased.

  2. Start the PC from the stick

    Press the boot menu key at power-on and choose the stick's UEFI entry.

  3. Install with a controller

    Pick your network, region and drive. The installer downloads the system (about 2.3 GB) and you're done.

What you need

  • A 64-bit PC with UEFI firmware
  • A drive of 32 GB or more, which will be erased
  • A USB stick of 2 GB or more
  • Internet, wired or Wi-Fi
  • A controller on a USB cable, or a keyboard
