Factory reset
Erase everything on CouchPotatOS and start over, straight from Steam.
A factory reset erases everything you’ve added and keeps the installed system. It’s the way to pass the PC on, or to start fresh.
- Open Steam’s Settings → System.
- Choose Factory Reset and confirm.
- The PC restarts and resets itself.
What’s erased: installed games, saves that aren’t in the cloud, Steam sign-in, Wi-Fi networks and all settings.
What stays: the version of CouchPotatOS you’re on. After the reset, the PC starts like it did the first time.
To go back to a completely fresh install instead, reinstall from the USB stick.
